Legendary filmmaker Dev Anand is planning to take his forthcoming film, "Mr Prime Minister" through the
festival circuit before its worldwide release.
"The film is the kind that can get critical acclaim on the festival circuit. Also I want international exposure for
the film prior to its release," told Anand.
The film is a satire on Indian politics with Anand playing the title role.
"It is my baby entirely, right from its concept and scripting to the actual execution. The film is a strong
reflection on our political system and values," said the actor.
The film was shot entirely in earthquake-ravaged Bhachau in Gujarat. "There was a specific purpose behind
shooting the film there, but I would not like to reveal everything at this stage," said Anand.
Shooting for the film was completed recently and Anand is looking at an April release.
Next, Anand will begin shooting "Beauty Queen", which was to roll six months ago but had to be postponed
for "Mr Prime Minister".
