International filmmaker hunting for quintessential desi face to cast in his upcoming project

It was reported recently that the international filmmaker Kyriakos Tofaridis (producer of The Last Homecoming) is hunting for an Indian beauty, ala Freida Pinto, for his upcoming film Home Sweet Home.

Apparently, after surfing on the Internet, the director zeroed in on four Indian beauties, who he feels have quintessential Indian faces. These girls are Priyanka Chopra, Sonam Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and Neetu Chandra.

A source from the crew reveals, "The film, which will be made in Greek and English, has an Indian girl in the lead role. The director, who is Greek, has spent four years on this film.

He is hunting for a typical Indian beauty with big eyes for his dream project. She should be able to speak English and learn Greek also and will be seen in salwar kameez and a sari in the film. The project will be shot in Cyprus and Greece."

The source adds, "He extensively surfed online to find a perfect Indian face and finally came across the pictures of these actresses. He wants his leading lady to have features like these four beauties."

Has he approached these actresses? "Not yet, but if they are interested, the director will be more then happy to meet them."
