Shahid Kapoor has been approached to play the main lead in the Hindi remake of the Tamil blockbuster "Vettai", but the actor
says he is not sure about the project as the makers haven't reverted to him with a suitable dialogue writer for the movie.
Chennai-based director N. Linguswamy is expected to wield the megaphone for the remake which will be produced by UTV Motion
Pictures. Rumours are rife that Ali Zafar may replace him in the remake.
When asked about it, Shahid toldS: "They approached me for the remake of 'Vettai'. I have asked them to get a Hindi dialogue
writer. They didn't get back to me on this. So I don't know about that. Let's see."
The Tamil version of "Vettai" was also directed by Linguswamy and it featured R. Madhavan, Arya, Sameera Reddy and Amala
Paul.
Shahid's last release "Mausam" failed to impress the viewers. Now he is looking forward to the release of "Teri Meri Kahaani",
which is coming out June 22.
