Even before her debut Hindi film 'Gangs of Wasseypur' hits the screen, newbie Huma has signed her fifth project in Bollywood, an action movie with Nikhil Advani

Huma, who is being introduced in Anurag Kashyap's forthcoming film 'Gangs of Wasseypur' Part One and Two, recently signed the film by Advani of 'Kal Ho Na Ho' fame. "I have signed an action film with Nikhil Advani, which will happen later in the year. I don't want to talk much about it. I have just signed it. It is very much different from my previous films. I am very excited about it," Huma said.

"I will be doing my own action scenes. I am very kicked about the film. I will be taking training which will start post July. We will shoot from September-October," Huma said.

Now Huma is headed to the Cannes Film Festival where Kashyap's 'Gangs of Wasseypur' will be screened. "None of us expected this. The film is not released in India and I am glad that it is world premiering at Cannes film festival. It is very overwhelming. I think when you make a film, you never imagine what is going to happen. I am very happy.

"Our audience have changed, they have become more open to concept based films from 'Kahaani' to 'Paan Singh Tomar' to 'Vicky Donor'. These films are doing well and it just proves that people are watching and liking all kind of cinema," she said.

In 'Gangs of Wasseypur', a revenge drama set in Jharkhand, Huma is paired with Nawazuddin Siddiqui. "I play a girl named Mohsina in the two-part film. My character gets introduced in part one and I am also there in part two. I am the younger generation.

I come towards the end. She is a small town girl of the 90s who is a film buff. In her head, she is the Madhuri Dixit of her town, who falls in love with a man who is inspired by Amitabh Bachchan. So it is a very cute, romance, there is innocence, tashan. It is a kind of romance that you don't get to see in urban places."

"I was jealous as other actors in the film were using prosthetic make-up and they were ageing, they play roles from the age of 16 to 60. It was fabulous and I wanted to play that kind of a role. But Anurag did not cast me in that part, he just wanted me to be young in the film," she quipped.

Her other projects include Kashyap's romantic-comedy 'Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurrana'. The film is directed by Sameer Sharma and produced by Anurag and UTV Motion Pixctures. In this film, Huma will be seen opposite Kunal Kapoor.

The film's release has been postponed due to IPL. She will also be seen opposite Emraan Hashmi in Vishal Bharadwaj's supernatural psychological thriller. The film also stars Kalki Koechlin and Konkana Sen.
