Newlyweds actor Ram Charan Teja and his wife Upasana Kamineni are likely to take a four-day break for their honeymoon and go somewhere in India only to live some moments of togetherness.

The couple is planning a short honeymoon due to Ram's tight shooting schedules.

However, the couple is yet to decide the place of their honeymoon but said it will be somewhere away from traffic and shopping.

Telugu superstar-turned-politician Chiranjeevi's son Ram on Thursday tied the nuptial knot with his childhood love Upasana at a farm house near Hyderabad.

The grand wedding of Chiranjeevi's son witnessed prominent names from the world of films and politics attending it.



Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, iconic Tamil actor Rajinikanth, filmmaker Boney Kapoor and his wife Sridevi and other well-known South Indian actors like Venkatesh, Mohan Babu and Ambreesh attended the wedding ceremony.

Bollywood actor Priyanka Chopra could not attend the wedding and tweeted: "Here's wishing a very happy married life to my Zanjeer co actor Ramcharan and his beautiful better half Upasana!wish I cud have been there!"

Bachchan posted on his Twitter home page on Thursday: "Hyderabad ! To attend wedding of dear friend Chiranjeevi's son Ram Charan .. back evening ..Ram playing my role in remake of Zanjeer."

He later wrote: "Back from wedding ! Indian traditional events are so endearing, no matter which part of the country you are in .. culture so rich !"



Apart from the world of films and glamour, politicians including Andhra Pradesh Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan, Tamil Nadu Governor K. Rosaiah, Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu and leaders from various political parties attended the ceremony.

Upasana looked gorgeous on the day of wedding wearing a yellow and gold sari designed by Tarun Tahiliani.

Ram Charan on the other hand wore a sherwani designed by Tahiliani.

Expressing his excitement, Ram tweeted moments before the wedding: "Will be entering into a new live in couple of hours. really excited and need all ur blessings. Love u all."

A grand reception ceremony was later hosted at Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC) on Thursday evening.
