Bollywood actor Ashay Kumar will be seen in "Oh My God", a movie based on Gujarati play "Kanji Viruddh Kanji". TV celebrity Sachin Parikh, who played the lead originally, feels Akshay will do full justice to the role.

"I have seen Akshay right from his first movie. The way he has taken his graph as an actor is amazing. Be it comedy, satire or action, Akshay does them all so convincingly, " Sachin told.

"I admire him as an actor. The character which I portrayed will be shown in a different angle and manner. It will be performed differently, so I am sure Akshay would do wonders, " he added.

The play "Kanji Virudhh Kanji" was remade in Hindi too. Its Hindi version, featuring Paresh Rawal in the lead, is called "Krishna vs Kanhaiya".

Sachin, who has performed the original Gujarati play more than 100 times, says he would love to be a part of "Oh My God", to be directed by Umesh Shukla.

"I always wanted to be part of the film. I have been 100 times with 'Kanji Virudhh Kanji' and I was really happy to play that role. But television and theatre are both different.

"I didn't get any good role or opportunity to play. But I would love to be a part of this film, " he added.

Sachin can currently be seen in TV shows like "Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha" on Colors and Sony's "Kuch Toh Log Kahenge".
