A seven-day marriage celebration with lots of twists and turns is the premise of director Amrit Sagar's next film "Rabba Main Kya Karoon".

After entertaining audiences with National Award winning war film "1971", Sagar returns to big screen with the light-hearted romantic comedy made in the backdrop of big fat Indian wedding.

"The film is about two childhood sweethearts, who eventually decide to get married. But the seven-day marriage celebration brings lots of twists and turns in their lives that puts them on the verge of break up. How they handle situations is what the film is all about, " Sagar told.

The film has been shot in Delhi and the filmmaker said: "Delhi is the heartland of India and boasts of a modern culture with old school feel, and this really fascinates me.

"The grandeur of Punjabi weddings that take place in Delhi is even more fascinating. I have tried to capture that essence in the film."

Sagar, son of Moti Sagar of Sagar Arts, shot the film last winter.

Shooting in Delhi was easy considering issues like permissions, but the weather did play spoilsport.

"When we were shooting in Delhi, it was winter and it was really cold. Sometimes we struggled but otherwise it was an amazing experience.

"There are certain places like Connaught Place, where we were not allowed to shoot as they said they don't give permission to shoot at this place anymore, otherwise everything went off smoothly."

Asked what took him so long to return with another film, Sagar said he was looking for "a good concept".

Writing the script, pre-production and casting took a long time. Moreover, we had so many other things happening on television, he added.

While the film is the launch vehicle of Amrit's younger brother Aakash Sagar and actress Tahira Kochchar, it also features Raj Babbar, Arshad Warsi and Paresh Rawal.

"I would say I just got lucky to have been able to cast the veterans like Raj Babbar. I went and narrated the film and he immediately agreed to be a part of it. He has even decided his own look in the film, " said Sagar.

"Rabba Main Kya Karoon" is in post production stage and is slated to come out in September or October.
