Shonali 'Amu' Bose bags Gollapudi Srinivas award

The 2004 Gollapudi Srinivas award has gone to Bengali film director Shonali Bose for her film "Amu".

The award, instituted by the Gollapudi Srinivas Memorial Foundation in 1997 in the memory of debutant director Gollapudi Srinivas who died in an accident, comprises Rs.150,000 and a citation.

Anup Kurien was adjudged the best new director in 2003 for his English film "Manasarovar".
