Filmmaker Govind Nihalani began his career as a director of photography

The last time, he did camera work for someone else, was way back in 1983. It was for Shyam Benegal's film Arohan, starring Victor Banerjee and Pankaj Kapur. Niihalani is all set to take a break from being a director by becoming a DOP again, this time for a Marathi film.

Director Gajendra Ahire says, `I can't believe my luck. I just went up to him to narrate my script and on the spot he agreed to become the DOP. We have already completed two schedules of Anumati, which is a very sensitive film.

Govind doesn't let the director in him to come out at all.`
