Bollywood's 'Calendar' and his wife Shashi have become parents of a baby girl

Actor-director Satish Kaushik has become a proud father of a baby girl. The baby girl named Vanshikha was born last month and Kaushik and his wife Shashi opted for in-vitro fertilization (IVF), almost 16 years after they lost their then-two-year-old son.

Kaushik says, `This is our second child and it is a daughter. I think it is a huge blessing and these days, daughters are much better. Suddenly the house is full of activity and Shashi is on the top of the world. It's celebration time for us which has been long over-due and I would say this is the best phase in my life.`

Regarding opting for IVF, Kaushik said, `It was last year when I decided that we would use this medical technique after my friend Dr Rishikesh Pai suggested me. He was the one who really pushed me for it. I am happy I took that decision.`
