Singer Madhushree credits music maestro AR Rahman for who she is today.

`If it wasn't for him, maybe I would have settled down in some other country,` she told CS, `He has given me so many opportunities, right from semi classical to item songs.`

Recalling an incident when she was recording for Rang De Basanti, she says that Rahman wanted her to hum a particular tune that he had composed. `When Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra heard it, he liked it so much that he insisted on incorporating it in the film.

He then created a romantic situation especially for that song and the song was Tu Bin Bataye,` she says. No wonder Madhushree's such a huge fan of Rahman!
