We caught up with Chetan Bhagat recently and he feels the film adaptation of his book Two States will be noticed

`Such kind of films can really work, ` he says. Bhagat says, `Arjun Kapoor (who has been cast in the film) is very fresh, similar to how Shah Rukh Khan was when Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge came.` As the story has been inspired by Chetan's life, he's glad that Arjun's playing the part.

`He's quite handsome, so I'm happy.` The writer has also been approached to do cameos in films. `I was offered to play the role of the author who gets kidnapped in Shor In The City. I thought somebody's playing a prank, ` he says.


Later, when he saw the film, he realised that the role was actually a take-off on him.

`Even in the film Rascals, the two lead actors are called Chetan and Bhagat. All this is flattering sometimes, ` he laughs. But if he's offered a cameo in one of his own book adaptations, is he open to doing it? `Nah, I think that will too gimmicky.`
