Shabana Azmi received lots of birthday wishes as she turned 62 Tuesday, but there was something amiss.

She was missing the late Mona Kapoor, ex-wife of Bollywood filmmaker Boney Kapoor. Mona died earlier this year after battling multiple organ cancer for about five months.

"So early in the morning and so many birthday wishes already... Thank you all from the bottom of my heart, " Shabana tweeted.

"Miss you Mona. You were always the first to wish me, " added the acclaimed actress.
