At a time when most upcoming actresses would not give a second thought for doing item numbers in films, Gul Panag is a little cautious when it comes to taking a decision on doing an item number.

"I would not like to refuse an 'item number' on the face of it, since I am a performer but I would definitely give it a serious thought before taking it up if I were offered one. I see item numbers as an avenue to get more visibility on screen. I think I'd be more comfortable doing one when I am fairly established in my career. That way at least the audience would be able to identify me as the 'Gul' they know of," she candidly reveals.

Meanwhile, she is eagerly looking forward to the release of her forthcoming film, PHIR ZINDAGI, where she plays a very challenging role of a young woman who bounces back with a determination after being betrayed in love and decides to live life on her own terms.
