Veteran actor Anupam Kher says he and filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker got to spend a great evening with Hollywood star Robert De Niro in Doha during the ongoing Doha Tribeca Film Festival.

"Ashutosh and I had the most memorable evening with Robert De Niro yesterday (Monday) in Doha, " tweeted Anupam Tuesday. He features with the international star in "Silver Linings Playbook".

The movie was screened at the film extravaganza Monday night, and Anupam was dressed in formals for his red carpet moment with De Niro.

Gowariker is at the fest as a jury member of the event's feature narrative segment.

Anupam and Gowariker even attended the red carpet ceremony for the screening of Yash Chopra's last directorial - "Jab Tak Hai Jaan" - Tuesday.

"Missed Yash ji, " tweeted Anupam, who also has a cameo in the Bollywood movie.
