After Rani Mukerji's spell-binding performance as a deaf-blind girl in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Black, Amisha Patel is planning to play a mute girl in Harry Baweja's next film that also stars Sunny Deol and Neha Dhupia.

The film depicts Patel as a witness to a murder. Deol is the man who helps her regain her confidence and brings the criminals to book. Harry Baweja said that Amisha is taking classes to learn sign language.

Apart from Mukerji, several other actresses have essayed such roles, including Nana Patekar and Seema Biswas in Khamoshi, Jaya Badhuri and Sanjeev Kumar in Koshish and Amitabh Bachchan in Reshma Aur Shera.
