Vivek Oberoi and Neha Sharma were pulled up by traffic cops during the shoot of their film 'Jayantabhai Ki Luv Story'

It's not just the aam janta that gets stopped by cops at traffic signals. A group of Mumbai cops stopped Vivek Oberoi and his co-star Neha Sharma at a Worli junction for violating road safety rules.

Vivek and Neha were in Worli filming for a bike ride scene when they were pulled over by the men in khaki.

A source adds, `It was a morning shoot and Vivek and Neha are shown to go for a long bike ride in the film. We were ready with the set-up and were waiting for them to enter into the frame. But they did not turn up for a long time. Finally, we realised that they had been caught by cops.`

The actor apparently spent some time trying to convince the cops that all this was just part of a shoot but they didn't allow the actors to leave. `Vivek was not carrying his driving license and did not wear a helmet either. The police told him to pay a fine or come to the nearby police station. Some crew members had to then intervene and bring them back.`

Director Vinnil Markan says, `The local traffic police caught them riding without helmets. It was amusing to know that they refused to listen to Vivek's explanation. That's when the crew stepped in to show them the permits and other formalities for the shoot.`
