According to reports, actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui said sometime back that he wanted to become the highest paid actor in the country

When CS questioned him about it, the talented man said, `Yes, it is true. I did make that statement. In India, stars are paid crores and crores of rupees, but real actors make a mere pittance.

I am not a materialistic person, and don't give much importance to cars, holiday homes and other luxuries. But it's annoying to see truly talented people being paid peanuts. I want to make money, but that doesn't mean I will compromise on my films.`
