Peturbed by the latest Mountain Dew TV commercial taking a dig at Akshay Kumar in Thums Up commercial, the cine-star's fan club has asked PepsiCo India to apologise.

In a letter written to Pepsi co India's Mumbai office, Ajaz Ahmed Mullani, President of Akshay Kumar fan club has said that Pepsi India should immediately withdraw the ad 'showing Akshay Kumar in bad light'.

"We find the advertisement showing our idol Akshay Kumar look-alike completely in contrast to his image.

The ad clearly undermines his abilities, is scandalous and deals a serious blow to his reputation," the letter said.

Thums Up forms an integral part of the portfolio of Coca-Cola India. Moutain Dew is a Pepsi brand which has been airing its TV commercial taking a dig at the Thums Up Challenge ad from Coca-Cola India for some time now.

"We idolise Akshay Kumar and we have quit smoking, drinking because of him.

Now he is being shown in poor light which is not acceptable to us," Ajaz Ahmed Mullani, President of the Akshay Kumar fan-club.

Mullani, however, made it clear that Akshay Kumar is not involved with this letter as he is out of Mumbai.

The letter says that the Akshay Kumar fan-club will protest if its demands are not met.

Pepsi spokesperson, when contacted, had no comments to offer.
