Proud wife Twinkle Khanna hails hubby Akshay Kumar's performance after watching 'Special 26'

Looks like Akshay Kumar got his Valentine's Day gift from his wife a bit in advance this year. For the first time ever in his career, Akki received a standing ovation from Twinkle after she saw his latest film Special 26.

A source says, `As usual, he recently held a special screening for Twinkle. After watching the show, the actress-turned-interior designer couldn't have been prouder of her hubby.`

`It was a first in our 12 years together as a married couple, Needless to add, I'm more than just happy about it,` gushes the actor-producer.

Interestingly, Akshay wasn't interested in the project when the script was initially offered to him. However, he's exhilarated to have eventually agreed to play a `different` role.


The actor says, `As an actor, you always want to do something new and I'm extremely glad that the film is receiving good response. This film deserves every bit of it.`
