Musician Panjabi MC, known for popular song "Mundiya tu bachke", has created a new song for Y-Films' "Mere Dad Ki Maruti". The song "Haaay!" will feature in the movie's opening credits.

"Haaay!" is sung by Manake, with rap by Panjabi MC himself. It will be played during the introduction of the two leads of the movie - Saqib Saleem and Rhea Chakraborty.

"It was a fantastic experience to score for Yash Raj Films, Bollywood's biggest studio. The song 'Haaay!' from 'Mere Dad Ki Maruti' came to me with a very clear brief, so it was easy and a lot of fun for me to compose this track, " Panjabi MC said in a statement.

"Also, given that the story is set in Chandigarh, scoring Punjabi music is second nature to me, " he added.

The film releases March 15.
