After reading 'Let's start with the basics' (Hitlist, March 11) about Indian directors attending Steven Spielberg's masterclass, a bitchy director could not stop rolling in the aisles!

He could not control his laughaton either after seeing the list of filmmakers attending the class. It included names like David Dhawan, Indra Kumar, Ram Gopal Varma, Sajid Khan and Farah Khan.

His chuckles raised to the roof when he read names like Karan Bhutani, Rahul Bhatt and even Priyadarshan. `It looks like whoever drew up the list meant to please his cronies rather than interact with the Oscar winner.

People who believe in no-brainers masala movies are now talking Schidler's List, Saving Private Ryan and ET! Wonder what Spielberg would say after he saw movies like Rascals, Housefull and Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag.` Shudder shudder!
