Actor Nirmal Pandey, who shot into fame in the Shekhar Kapur-directed film "Bandit Queen", married a school teacher here.

Pandey's wedding Thursday with Archana of City Montessori School was a family affair.

"I met Archana about 18 months ago when I came here in connection with the shooting of a TV serial," Pandey later told reporters.

Pandey is working in two TV projects, including "Ada". He will also be seen in "36 Ghante" and another Bollywood film.

Pandey's performance in Sudhir Mishra's "Is Raat Ki Subah Nahin" had won him critical acclaim.

Archana is also a theatre actor. She played a role in the feature film "Amma".
