Actor Kunal Roy Kapoor, who did a comic role in "Delhi Belly" and will again be seen doing comedy in "Nautanki Saala", doesn't wish to get typecast as a comic actor.

"I would love to try different genres. I think directors have to be open to cast me in different genres...," the 33-year-old said here Thursday in an interview.

"One film got successful that doesn't mean that I am a comic star, it just means that people like to see me doing comedy and I am very happy to make people laugh. But yes I am very, very interested in doing different genre of films," he added.

Kunal started off in 1998 with TV show "Just Mohabbat".

Directed by Rohan Sippy, "Nautanki Saala" also stars Ayushmann Khurrana and hits theatres April 12.
