An injured Ranveer Singh made a trip to Wai from Kolkata to meet ladylove Deepika Padukone

While legendary lovers have moved mountains in order to meet up with their sweethearts, Ranveer Singh could almost be one of them. After all, he drove all the way from Mumbai to Wai, that too with an injured leg, to schedule a hush-hush meeting with alleged flame Deepika Padukone.

Sources say Ranveer, who had been shooting for Gunday in Kolkata, had returned to the city for some urgent work. The actor apparently had a nasty gash on his leg that required three stitches. But no amount of pain could stop him from rushing off to Wai.

An insider says, `During a wrestling scene with his Gunday co-star Arjun Kapoor, Ranveer sustained an injury. Deepika was shooting for Chennai Express in Wai. After reaching Wai, Ranveer was spotted hobbling around.`


Interestingly, Ranveer decided to stay put at the hotel instead of visiting Dippy on the sets. Perhaps it was to avoid being spotted? A source from the hotel states, `He remained in the hotel for Dippy to return. He was seen limping all day.`

Another industry source confirms that Ranveer was indeed in town and flew back to Kolkata on March 25.
