The 'Commando' actor to visit Kerala ashram where he learnt Indian martial art kalaripayattu

Though he made his B-Town debut in the John Abraham-starrer Force in 2011, Vidyut Jamwal considers his forthcoming film special as he headlines the cast. Most actors seek divine intervention prior to the release of their film.

However the model-turned actor, who is also a martial artist will visit the ashram in Kerala where he learned kalaripayattu and other martial art forms.

Vidyut is keen to seek the blessings of his teachers before the release of Vipul Shah's auctioneer in which he stars with newbie Pooja Chopra.

The actor is presently in hectic promotion mode for his film but is taking time off to visit the ashram in Palakkad that he considers his sacred sanctum.

Says a source, `Vidyut considers action his forte and he considers his martial art training the reason for it. This is the reason he is keen to seek the good wishes of his gurus before the film releases. He began learning kalaripayattu since the age of three at the ashram and considers it the base of all martial art forms.`

With his father in the armed forces and constantly on the move, his mother used to spend a lot of time at the ashram, which Vidyut would visit during school holidays. As the ashram was a hub for learning kalaripayattu, he began to train in it and realised that it was his true calling. The actor is keen to be known as an action hero and does all the stunts himself.
