Our B-town actors are often required to put on or lose weight to suit the look of a character.

And it often ends up taking a toll on their health. Actor Nikitin Dheer, who was asked to put on a few kilos for his upcoming film, told CS that it's not the healthiest thing to lose or gain weight too quickly.

`I've been lucky because it's been one film at a time and so, I had enough prep time. One should gain or lose weight gradually. And only if it's a role of a lifetime, one should go for a drastic makeover.

Even Russell Crowe has gained and lost weight quickly for roles and he's mentioned that it's taken a toll on him. So, one has to make it easy on themselves. `
