Randeep Hooda who was the proud owner of five horses, is in a depressed state of mind

One of his favourite horses, Son of Soil, died recently.

A source says, ` Randeep treats his horses like his kids and loves to spend his free time with them whenever possible.

Recently, after wrapping up the shooting for his film, he was in town and his horse Son of Soil fell ill. Randeep took him to hospital immediately a couple of weeks ago. The vet told him that the horse needs to be operated urgently as it has colic which accompanies severe abdominal pain.`

It is said that these types of surgeries are very expensive. However the actor did not think twice before opting for surgery.

`Randeep spent all his time in hospital and arranged everything for the horse. He was under stress until the doctor told him his horse is out of danger.

He was worried and even asked his fans and friends to pray for the horse. His friend Sandeep Punia and hospital staff helped him in keeping a check on his equine buddy. Unfortunately, it could not survive. This incident left Randeep in shock and he's really missing SOS now,` the source adds.

Randeep remained unavailable for comment.
