Filmmaker Vikram Bhatt feels that item songs are added in a film for commercial reasons and it is only the content that draws audience to the theatres

"I feel item songs are added for commercial reasons. There are people who add it to bring audience, but ultimately it is the content that works. Also, it would be wrong to say that audience comes to watch (a) film because of item songs, " Vikram said here today. He is back with a realistic drama on medical negligence - 'Ankur Arora Murder Case'.

This movie is written by him. Starring K K Menon, Tisca Chopra, Paoli Dam and Arjun Mathur, it is directed by Suhail Tatari and co-produced by Dhanraj Films Pvt Ltd and BVG Films (a division of Asa Productions).

The film exposes and addresses the fatal flaws in the medical profession. "No cinematic liberties have been taken in 'Ankur Arora Murder Case'. There is something called possible and plausible.

But, our film is both possible and plausible, " Vikram said. He stumbled upon an interesting case while doing research, in which Rs one crore compensation was given from the Supreme Court to the family for medical negligence. The film is slated for release on June 14.
