We have recently seen actors in films like 3 Idiots and Kai Po Che playing out characters from books.

Talking about this, Divya Dutta tells CS, `I have done films like Train To Pakistan and Shaheed-E-Mohabbat, which were based on novels. It is fun doing a role that has been written down in so much detail.

Few days back, I saw Naseeruddin Shah perform on Ismat Chughtai's short stories recently and I was blown over by his performance.
