Bollywood actor Shakti Kapoor's reputation may have been tarnished after a television channel showed him
propositioning an actress in a sting operation, but his career is on an all-time high.
Apart from landing roles in a whole lot of notable banners who have backed him, despite his past scandal,
Kapoor has now turned storywriter. The sting operation by India TV was aired in March and invited widespread
condemnation.
In fact producer-director Deepak Balraj Vij roped in Shakti Kapoor for the script of his forthcoming "Sex &
Scandal".
"It tells a very intriguing story of a big star who exposes sex and scandal in the fast lanes of showbiz. It is a
woman-oriented story, replete with the goings-on in the glamour industry and what actually transpires behind
the scenes," reveals Vij.
The director further added, "Yes, the story covers the issue of the casting couches too, the issue that brought
Shakti Kapoor's name into the forefront."
Vij, who is scouting for actresses for the film, said: "One of the names under consideration is that of Mallika
Sherawat. She would be ideal for the film but I haven't spoken to her yet."
Shakti Kapoor is also to play a journalist in his next film titled "Showbiz".
