The latest to praise Ram Gopal Varma is singer Mohana Sarkar, who got the big break of her career in his production "D" and is now going places.

Mohana whose voice has a striking resemblance to that of Asha Bhonsle was called by music director Nitin Raikar and initially signed to render the "Khudko maar dala" number in the film.

However, Varma was so impressed with her voice that he decided to use it for two more songs, the "Dhokebaaz" number and its re-mix.

"It was incredible. I couldn't believe that things were happening so fast in my career, Ramu-ji approving my voice first and then asking me to sing more numbers in the film. It is a privilege to have a mentor like him," says Mohana, who is still trying to come to terms with the overnight success in her career.
