In his initial phase, the Jat actor often wondered which kind of films he would fit into. He tells CS, `I am thrilled to see the new wave in Indian cinema.

When I started out, there were very few roles written for actors like me. There were some parts but they went to more commercially successful leading men.


I used to see some films and feel that I could have done a much better job. The current phase is great in terms of directors, stories and roles. I am fine with the idea of working with first-time directors. I don't mind taking the risk?`
