Sharman Joshi might have done comedy in films like "Style", "Golmaal" and "Dhol," but the actor says what comes naturally to him is drama and emotions and that he was really bad at comedy during his theatre days.

"I started with theatre and did varied genres. That time I felt that emotions and drama come naturally to me and I can do that easily. When I did my first comedy play, I was really bad," the 34-year-old said here Tuesday in an interview.

"Later, I started to understand comedy and comic timing better. So what comes naturally to me is emotions and drama. Then I worked on comedy and I do it better now," he added.

Sharman will soon be seen in the role of an Indian Army officer in the country's first war-comedy "War Chhod Na Yaar" and had no problem essaying it.

"I always wanted to do a role where I could wear a uniform and I got that chance in the film, that too of an army man," Sharman said.

"The moment I wore the uniform, I felt this sense of honour and pride for my country. You start to feel an army man's correctness and discipline. So, as I wore the uniform, it became very easy for me to do the role," the actor added.

Directed by Faraz Haider, "War Chhod Na Yaar" also stars Javed Jaffrey, Soha Ali Khan and Sanjay Mishra. It hits theatres Oct 11.
