B-Town seems to have taken a fancy to wishing people through its film titles

It looks like in 2014 B-Town will be in happy mode considering the slew of films using the word happy in its titles. There are either wishing you a happy new year or happy anniversary. Dark, gloomy, violent or disturbing movies with sad scenes are a definite no. Happy and peppy seems to be in while coining titles. Filmmakers now also wish the audience through their films...

Happy New Year
Farah Khan began planning for this film in 2005 but the project was kept on the backburner when she went on to make Om Shanti Om in 2007. After Tees Maar Khan in 2010, she revived the project. According to the buzz, it is about a bunch of buddies who aim to win a dance contest. Helping them gain the title is a bar dancer. Shah Rukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu Sood, Boman Irani, Vivaan Shah and Jackie Shroff feature in the film. Deepika Padukone essays the bar dancer. The title is synonymous with the celebrations in the film.

Happi
Bhavna Talwar's film with Pankaj Kapur has him play the part of a Charlie Chaplin inspired character. The film has music by Ilaiyaraaja and though complete has yet to see light of day.


Happy Ending
Director duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK's have Saif Ali Khan opposite Ileana D'Cruz and Kalki Koechlin in this film which is produced by Saif The film was extensively shot across the US recently. It has Kareena Kapoor in a cameo. As it is a romcom, the title signifies the happy ending in the saga.

Happy Husbands
This 2011 film was the directorial debut of Anay who displayed his skills as an actor, music director, lyricist, screenplay and dialogue writer as well as singer. This one-man army's comedy sank without a trace. The comedy starred Kurush Deboo and Mohit Ghai. You are either happy or married. But Happy Husbands love life and wife.

Happy Anniversary
Producer Gaurang Doshi and director Prahlad Kakar last week announced that Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan feature in their film Happy Anniversary. The stars however feel it is too premature to say anything about it. The title has been used to denote the story that explores the anatomy of marriage.


Happy Birthday
In 2007, Gaurang Doshi had announced a project titled Happy Birthday with Aishwarya Rai and John Abraham. The project did not see light of day after Ash walked out of it. Now it apparently seems the birthday has become the anniversary.
