In a recent development late Jiah Khan's mother Rabiya Khan has filed a fresh petition in the Bombay High Court alleging that her daughter had been murdered and has sought a CBI inquiry into the case.

"Rabiya feels that the investigation was not done properly. If you go by the medical opinion and other evidences, it would indicate that something is missing and as far as suicide is concerned, then Jiah Khan's case is apparently a case of murder," stated Dinesh Tiwari who is Rabiya's lawyer .

Rabiya filed the plea a few days ago.


Jiah, who is known for her role in "Nishabd", committed suicide at her Juhu residence on June 3rd this year. She was 25.

Later, her boy friend Sooraj Pancholi was arrested on June 10 on the charges for abetting Jiah's suicide. Subsequently Sooraj, was granted bail by the high court on July 1.
