`I was asked by the director to watch Hindi News Channels to get into the character. I attain a UP accent in my dialogues.` Rao maintains.

She has been in the industry for the last ten years but does one film a year on the average. `I am careful choosing movies. Couple of my movies did not get released and because them I missed Shyam Benegal's Well done Abba and Jehangir Surti's Aa Dekhe Zara. This Year I am too lucky. I have three releases Jolly LLB, Satyagraha and now Singh Saab The Great.`

Rao shares that she wants to act with Ranbir Kapoor as a heroine in the 50's black and white setting.
