Durga Pooja has lots of significance for Indians. Durga the mother represents the spirit of every woman and her inner power. But, what it stands for the Bollywood divas? We asked 5 of them to answer:

Kajol: Men need to be aware that all women have a Durga and Kali in them. So do not fiddle with them. The only difference is that some of the ladies realize their power early and some do it after a trauma.

Kangana Ranaut: Celebrating Durga Pooja is celebrating various facets of womanhood. I find reflection of all the nine avatars of Durga in all women.

Sushmita Sen: I have been told that if one feels week, just Durga, Durga and the Maa enters your body to give you strength. Maa Durga has been an integral part of my life. I want to be a mother, a wife, a daughter and woman with the strength and qualities of the Godess.

Alia Bhatt: For me Maa Durga represents power of women and for me it is my elder sister Pooja who exhibits the qualities of Maa Durga. She has always fought for what is wrong in the society.

Sidharth Malhotra: For me Durga is represented by my grandmother who showed lot of power and courage when the family was uprooted from Pakistan during partition. She was the one who set up our home in Delhi.
