Aaradhya, the two year granddaughter of Amitabh Bachchan gave a surprise to her daadu when she early in the morning wished Amitabh a happy birthday.

Megastar wrote in his blog that Aaradhya, daughter of his son Abhishek and daughter-in-law Aishwarya, sang 'Happy Birthday' daadu early in the morning. Big B is celebrating his 71st birthday today (October 11).

The blog reveals that the toddler made sure that she first sang Happy Birthday song for herself before wishing her grandfather.

Proud granddad wrote on his blog today: "the 'little one' ably tutored sings a 'happy birthday' to herself first and then after suitable prompting, to me ... its these little moments that make up a birthday... the bigger moments follow."

Bollywood's original angry young man also thanked all his fans and well wishers for showering all the love on him.

He wrote, ".. the gifts of love and affection from those that we know and cannot see or meet, from people on the streets as you pass by, from the crew on the set, from those that have lived and worked with me through the ages... It cannot be any better than the presence of the heavens about me... my well wishers... they go through so much personal effort to prepare that personalized card that touch of handicraft, a little something, so thoughtfully put together ... the most expensive diamond in the world would not compare with this .. and I thank the english language for constructing this expression of 'thank you' or my own tongue in the gentleness of a 'anek anek dhanyavaad'."

Big B said that the years are passing by too quickly for him. He said on his blog, "It is 71 now ... just last year or just the other day it was 70 ! The years seem to pass by faster now than they did before. There was a desire to push the pedal all along those early years , to mature, to become adult, to bring on greater age ... now you depress the brakes pedal with equal effort, and hope to stem the slide as it were .. no not I, I accept the years the giving up on time, on age ... it shall happen to us all ... that is the commonality of the process of life... we are blessed, all of us ...!!"
