Pakistani actress Meera has shifted base to Dubai from where she intends to continue working in Indian films.

The actress, who starred in "Nazar", has applied for a residential permit and bought a two-bedroom flat and a car there, reports Bollywood Trade. Meera has been signed for Afzal Ahmed's "Umrao Jaan Ada" and Lucky Ali's "Kasak".

"Nazar" may have had an inconsequential impact at the box-office in India, but for Meera the film could probably harm her career in the Pakistani film industry.

According to a media report, some Pakistani film industry people snubbed her at the Pakistani national awards function held in Karachi.

The report quoted Meera as saying that certain people in the Pakistani film industry staged a walkout when she was given an award. The next day the people returned their awards as part of the protest.
