Priyanka Chopra got a chance to meet Malala Yousafzai among others at a special dinner organised for global leaders by the United Nations

Priyanka Chopra had an opportunity of being part of a special dinner organised for global leaders by the United Nations.

It was at this event that she met many prominent personalities including Matthew Bishop, Malala Yousafzai, Samantha Power and others.

A source says, `Priyanka was home in Mumbai for Diwali but soon after she flew to New York to be a part of the event.

She has been working with the UN for some time now and this dinner was a part of the annual bash that the organisation throws to honour the people who work towards creating awareness for some social issues.`


The actress was overwhelmed to meet and interact with Malala and Bishop. She says, `It was an amazing experience to be present for the charity dinner and support the UN in their endeavour to support the girl child.

Samantha Power, Malala and several other such people have been huge inspiration for me. It was really a good way to celebrate the girl child.`
