Sunny Deol, whose 'Singh Saab the Great' hits theatres this week, feels that actors today need to be good at marketing their films.

"Earlier, there were days when one used to think that talent speaks for itself. We never used to make appearances, give interviews and talk about our films. We hardly used to promote our films on TV and the print media was the only option. Now, media has grown so much and it is everywhere, on your mobile phones, social networking sites.

we have to adapt and go with the flow," the actor said. Pointing out that his 'Right ya Wrong', despite being a good film, failed at the box office because it was not promoted well, Sunny, 57, said he is now adapting to film promotions.

Speaking about his Friday release, directed by Anil Sharma, which he has been promoting on various platforms including Kapil Sharma's hit show 'Comedy Nights with Kapil', Sunny said the film is a story of a person who takes pride in his honesty.

The 'Gadar' star is playing a sardar onscreen again. Asked if this film has any similarities with that of his father Dharmendra's 'Satyakam', he pointed out that his film too is about an honest man.

Sunny's upcoming films include 'I Love New Year' and 'Mohalla 80', in which he plays the role of a Sanskrit teacher. In his long career, Sunny has given hits like 'Ghayal', which had won seven Filmfare awards, Damini, Darr, Border and Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. He was most recently seen in 'Yamla Pagla Deewana' sequel.
