Actor Aditya Roy Kapur admits that he had been going well along Shraddha Kapoor but never dated her. Setting aside the rumour mill Aditya maintains that he was only acting for 'Aashiqui2'. The rumour generation is part of the publicity campaign created by the filmmakers, he feels.

In an interview he denied that in college he had stalked any girl though he had couple of intense affairs but none succeeded. He was not crazy to stalk a girl.

Aditya Roy says that even after two back-to-back hits, he is yet to master the starry hand-wave and confesses that it is food that makes him go weak in his knees.

Talking about his upcoming film Daawate-Ishq, the says that he was only required to cut and chop. He has yet to tell Habib sir (director Habib Tanvar) that he can only whip up omelettes and brew coffee. His parents are the chefs. He has been trying to learn for five years, but since the food at home is so good, there was never the need for him to learn.

To a question he says that he loves eating everything he sees. he loves mutton biryani, while he was shooting in Hyderabad, he had it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. He loves Lucknow's Tunde ke kababs. Also, butter naan, kaali dal and mutter paneer.

On being a teetotaler Aditya said that he enjoyed a drink occasionally and during 'Aashiqui 2' had one too many. He never reached the 'high' that makes for interesting stories, but during the South African schedule he couldn't look people in the eyes because the character had seeped in.

The actor reveals that the other day a guy at the airport shouted out at him saying 'Aashqui 2' was a superhit film but ending achchi nahin lagi. People loved Rahul and Aarohi and were hurt when their love story didn't end happily. But, he feels the film is remembered because of its ending.

Aditya tells that there were no immediate marriage plans as he had just completed 28 year of his life.

After two superhits, Aashiqui 2 and Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, the actor says all this fan frenzy seems surreal to him. Superstars have a way of looking and waving at their fans, which he is still learning.

Aditya explains that after 'Guzarish' he waited a year-and-a-half because he didn't like the films he was getting. Many told me that he was being a fool. But he went with his gut instincts.

On the buzz that Aditya replaced Sushant Singh Rajput in Fitoor due to his brother Siddharth who is heading the production house he maintains that he has been asked 25,000 times about Siddharth. Is it possible that people like Sanjay Leela Bhansali or Abhishek Kapoor will take him on board because he was Sid's brother? They need to be convinced first. There were date issues with Sushant. He is more than happy to enter the picture.

Recalling his college days Aditya says that he was kicked out of a college band. The band went out of his life, but as a Channel (V) VJ there was plenty of music. he still plays the guitar and writes songs. His dream is to win a Grammy, 10 years from now. But for now its films.

Aditya says that right now these days he needs a girl in his life and he is confused about love, but once it happens he will know what it's all about.
