Himanshu Rai Rajnarayan Dube's old production house The Bombay Talkies studio, founded in 1934 that launched Hindi cinema's best known names -Ashok Kumar, Dilip Kumar,Madhubala, Raj Kapoor, Lata Mangeshkar,Kishore Kumar, Satyajit Ray, Bimal Roy, Dev Anand and Mehmood, to name a few - is all set to be relaunched by Abhay Kumar, grandson of Rajnarayan Dube.

Abhay talks to the media about his career as an actor and production house owner.

He says that it is the public demand from across the world which motivated him to revive the production house.

Claiming that it was the most innovative and highly resourced studio of its time with more than 80 years of rich experience, 102 films, having some of the most acclaimed technicians and creative resources like Franz Osten and Niranjan Pal working for us. It was also the first production house to pioneer a full-fledged studio catering to post production under one roof in those days.

He says that he chose late Johnny Walker's son, Nasirr Khan to direct Chahe Koi Mujhe due to his family lineage. It gives him an unparalleled understanding of Indian cinema. Nasirr's passion and technical understanding gave him an edge.

Abhay says that his remaking of Chahe Koi... the title of the film reminds me of Saira (Banu) aunty. This project has been inspired by her. I want the audience to watch the film.
