Sanjay Dutt serving a 5-year jail sentence who is out on a controversial parole is playing his cards very cautiously. Having raised the hackles of several political groups and activism organizations for allegedly being granted unnecessary respite from incarceration twice in three months, Dutt is treading very thin ice during his temporary reprieve.

His family and friends are alarmed and frightened by reports that Dutt visited Salman Khan's farm during the latter's birthday celebrations last week.

`This is very wrong. If it gets out that Sanju is partying on parole, not only would his parole be cancelled the authorities responsible for his temporary freedom would have a lot to be answerable for. Sanju never went for Salman's birthday bash. He is largely at home spending time with his wife and twins.His sisters and their brothers-in-law occasionally visit.`

Dutt's friends are staying away. `We don't want Sanju to squander this precious time. His friends are making sure he's left alone with his family,` says a source.


According to Dutt's friend the only occasion Sanju stepped out of his Pali Hill bungalow was to pay a very short visit to his old friend Bunty Walia and wife Vanessa. ` They were blessed with a baby girl in December. Sanju drove down to their home to wish the couple and bless the baby. He then drove back home,` informs the friend.

Says the friend, `It's a tough time not only for Sanju but also his wife Maanyata. She is constantly under scrutiny , not allowed to show any sign of happiness while her husband is serving a jail term.She can't be see at any public event without questions being raised about her distress level. It's really unfair.`
