Over the years Bollywooders have tried and tested numerous cine ideas and made them everlasting cine genre of Bollywood. But these days, the movie making genus which seems to be the spice of the season is that of Rom-Coms. These days majority of cine literati prefer to offer a diverse range of engaging cine aromas in one bunch. And to meet the purpose what can be safer than a Rom Com.

In the past couple of years, with so many romantic comedies making their way to multiplexes, BO has literally started looking like an orchard of Rom Com toadstools. There is no denying the fact that despite Rom-Com gener's being a sought after ilk of movie making there are very few cine chronicles belonging to the category which have succeeded in registering their presence among the cine enthusiasts. And those which have made a dent at BO had a thorough amount of 'Hatke factor' to charm the fans. So seems to be the case with Parineeti, Siddarth starrer `Hasee Toh Phasee` which opened with a decent occupancy of over 50 percent at the multiplexes.

Premise of Hasee Toh Fasee primarily narrates the story of non conformist but intelligent, Meeta (Parineeti Chopra) and struggling event manager, Nikhil ( Siddarth Malhotra) and their tryst with love . With plot of `Hasee Toh Phasee` unfurling, narration showcases the lives of Nikhil and Meeta, where they are struggling hard to deal with their respective sets of issues. And at the backdrop of all this is Nikhil's wedding with Karishma (Adah Sharma) who is incidentally the sister of Meeta.

Amid all pre-wedding preparation of Nikhil and Karishma, Meeta returns to Mumbai after remaining away from home for almost seven years. As the Meeta returns, Karishma asks Nikhil to arrange accommodation for her rebellious sister, whom her family is not ready to accept. Nikhil obeys the order of her ladylove and arranges the same but subsequently takes Meeta to her own place. And with frames rolling ahead develops a soft corner her. To know what follows next watch this captivating cine tale directed by Vinil Mathew.

Undoubtedly many may feel that what's the big deal in two altogether different individuals falling in love.

Well, certainly there is nothing so big about it, but the things that matters eventually in the movies belonging to Rom-Com class is that how arousing, engrossing and quirky content they have in the offering and how different they are from their predecessors. And as far as `Hasee Toh Fasee` is concerned then certainly this Parineeti and Siddarth starrer is thoroughly discrete from all those Rom-Coms which sank un-traced in the recent past.

If we talk about the script of the `Hasee To Phasee` then at the very first place scriptwriter Harshwardhan Kulkarni deserves a huge bunch of praises and, that's because while penning down the plot of 'Hasee Toh Phasee' , he kept his vision open and exonerated, and avoided unnecessary twisting and turning of the plot and kept it simple yet extraordinarily mesmerizing.

By blending cinematic seasoning like passionate love, heart warming emotions and eventually garnishing them with a pleasing and smooth humour, Kulkarni has come up with a gratifying and lovable cine premise. If we talk about the scripting trend of some of the recently released rom-coms then it's often seen that in order to present movies belonging to this league, as 21st century love story, script writer often obtrude the premise with some loose humour. But `Hasee Toh Phasee` is certainly an exception to the prevailing rule, where its makers nowhere went overboard in any manner and to authenticate the 'Gen X' credibility of the movie and rather believed on the simplicity of the storyline with an aim of delivering something scrupulously enthralling.

Be it those ludicrous moments or the emotional potency everything is threaded by such magnificence by Harshvardhan in the script, which you don't feel like taking your eyes off the screen, throughout the run time.

Very much in accordance with nature of the script even the screenplay of the movie is simple and appealing. From the very first frame till the culmination, narration proceeds forward with magnificence. And it's this unobstructed and smooth flow of the narration which magnifies the overall appeal of the onscreen proceedings. Although in the first half some of the viewers may feel that the story is proceeding at a crawling pace, but when a soothing dose of heart warming entertainment is in the offering then surely one can overlook these minor flaws.

But as soon as the second half arrives you forget all the flaws which you observed in the first half, and that's because with a quality up-gradation in the impact of emotional coefficient, and warmth of romance etc, you straightaway reach into a different milieu. In fact it won't be wrong to say that in the second half story and screenplay collectively amuse you, make you feel the passion of romance and at the same time leaves you moist eyed with the emotional impact of the onscreen content.

As far as music of `Hasee Toh Phasee` in music department Vishal Shekhar have done a good job and have come up with a bunch of soothing tracks. Be it Manchal, Zehanaseeb or peppy number 'Shake It Like Shammi' together these diverse tracks make `Hasee Toh Phasee` a charming audio delight too.

With his acting prowess in `Hasee Toh Phasee`, Siddarth who was last seen in K.Jo's `Student of The Year` has proved that he is literally a powerhouse of talent, who not only have got the potential and capability to make it big in the Bollywood, but at same time deserves to be in the league of some of the bankable budding stars of tinsel town. Be it emotional expressiveness or quirky sequences, Siddarth not only performs them with utmost virtue and perfection but also succeeds in leaving an impact among the viewers too.

Well as far as performance of Parineeti is concerned then she literally occupies the centre stage right at the onset and till the culmination keeps you incarcerate within her charm. In `Hasee Toh Phasee` Parineeti's character is somewhat a mixture of two personality traits the one where she looks like a non conformist, and the other one that of an emotional girl, and believe me while donning both these traits, Parineeti has not only did a remarkable job, but at the same time has come up with a more sinewy performance to prove that, she has got all the traits to emerge as one of the leading ladies of next generation of actresses. And besides these two leading characters it's their mesmerizing chemistry which keeps ypu enveloped within it throughout the run time of the movie.

Even the supporting cast comprising of Adah Sharma, Sharat Saxena, Manoj Joshi, Neena Kulkarni, Anil Mange et al looks well apprised with their respective characters and performers their parts with utmost gusto.

As far as BO potential of `Hasee Toh Phasee` is concerned then despite having a quality content in the offering `Hasee Toh Phasee` has got a confined scope of earning. But in spite of that it deserves to be in the league of entertaining cine delights of the year.

To sum up, with a good dose of `Hatke factor` in the offering `Hasee Toh Phasee` is fresh, mesmerizing and lovable Valentine's Day gift, which is thoroughly different from some of the recently released movies belonging to the same ilk. And with its impacting content `Hasee Toh Phasee` evokes every emotion in you, so keeping in view the overall soothing appeal of the movie, stupendous performances of Parineeti and Siddarth and quality of entertainment in the offering, I am going ahead with 3 stars for `Hasee Toh Phasee`.
