Urmila Matondkar's loss is Simone Singh's gain. Urmila was approached for Cinevistaas' TV show Ek Hasina Thi. The reason the production house approached her was because she had played the lead in a namesake film.

The actress apparently insisted on playing the main lead and not the role they wanted her to essay - that of a mommy.

As a result Simone, who featured in the soap Heena over a decade ago, was chosen for the role. The show's cast includes Sanjeeda Shaikh and Vatsal Seth.
