To celebrate Gulzar's contribution in the field of films, Saregama India Limited released a special pack of compact discs containing his best works over the years titled "Mera Kuchh Samaan."

The four CD pack also has anecdotes and interesting information about Gulzar.

Among the luminaries present during the release function included Jaya Bachchan, Khayyam, Jagjit and Chitra Singh, Bhupinder Singh, Roop Kumar and Sonali Rathod, Shreya Ghoshal, Raj Kumar Barjatya, Vishal Bharadwaj, Saregama's managing director D.R. Mehta and chief executive (music) Kulmeet Makkar.
