Actor Riya Sen, who'll be seen sharing screen space with her mother - veteran actor Moon Moon Sen - for the first time, feels she should have planned her Bollywood debut better. `Since I was the daughter of Moon Moon Sen and the grand-daughter of veteran actor Suchitra Sen, I should have planned a grand debut for myself. When I entered the industry, I was very young. I didn't have a plan in place. I think I joined too early,` she says, adding, `When I got offers, my family got very excited. But I should have started only now.`

Riya, who often made headlines for things other than for acting, says, `Whatever I said was misquoted or made into a scandal! When I wore mini skirts it became a scandal. People said, 'look at her, what is she wearing.' But look around and you'll see heroines wearing bikinis, having affairs and kissing onscreen, but no one is after them.`

Riya, 33, who was in the Capital to walk for designer Pam Mehta as part of wedding exhibition Athenia's preview, says she focusses on her work now: `I do my work quietly and want to tell these people that 'Hey! I've been in the industry for 13 years, my work is only getting better, and what you say, doesn't make a difference in my life'. People said a lot of things about me... But that's how certain people are, I guess.`
