While it is being heard that Rajinikanth may romance the 27-year-old Sonakshi Sinha in his next Tamil film that also has Anushka Shetty as one of the leading ladies, one hears two conflicting versions from the South. It is said that Shatrughan Sinha and Rajinikanth who acted together in Asli Naqli (1986) are close friends. And while Sona's age may not be the deterrent for the 60-plus Rajinikanth, his closeness to Shotgun Sinha could make the Tamil legend slightly uncomfortable in romancing the daughter of his friend, reports Times of India.


Sources from Kollywood say that other actresses like Nayanthara are being spoken to for the same role for which Sona is being considered. Let's wait and see how this plays out. It would be interesting, of course, to see Sona make her Tamil debut if this casting ultimately goes through.
